Mara is a Featured Artist in the most recent issue of Open Studio Visit Magazine, with a four-page spread featuring her poetry and visual arts-based handmade artist books, curated by Dominic Molon, Richard Brown Baker Curator of Contemporary Art, Rhode Island School of Design Museum of Art.
In the past several months, Mara’s poetry and essays have been published in Abridged Journal (UK), Skylight 47 Poetry (Ireland), Stony Thursday Book (Ireland), New Note Poetry Journal, The Plentitudes, Blue Mountain Review, The Munster Literature Centre/ Southword (Ireland), Rabble Review, Acumen (UK), Diode Editions, and Short Editions/ Michigan State University.
Mara Adamitz Scrupe has been appointed to the Lance Williams Artist Residency in the Arts & Sciences, University of Kansas/ Lawrence. In the coming year she will be collaborating with students and faculty colleagues to research and produce creative work – poems, essays, drawings and installations – focusing on the region’s native tall grass prairies.
