Rococo Wood, a permanent site installation commissioned by the Philadelphia-area Abington Art Center
and Sculpture Garden, contains five large vintage chandeliers encased in water-tight acrylic
cases and electrified via an artist-designed solar power station.

In an effort to bring the Art Center’s interior designs to its grounds, the chandeliers were selected
to mimic the beautifully ornate fixtures of its original 1930’s galleries, while illuminating a once-ignored
and overgrown wooded thicket adjacent to the formal sculpture garden.
