Mara shortlisted in Dithering Chaps competition
Two of Mara’s chapbooks, a missing piece of territory and the River the Light & the History of Everything have been shortlisted in the 2025 Dithering Chaps Chapbook Publication Prize competition.
a missing piece of territory introduces the larger collection, the cartographer’s graft, formally linking poetry and drawings, maps, and photographs in hybrid verse + image form, whilst the poems and images that make up the River the Light & the History of Everything evoke and explicate ideas and palpable experiences of place-ness in an extended rumination on migration and mobility, displacement and dynamism, voyaging and settling in.
