Three of Mara’s poems are featured in Nimrod International Journal’s 43rd Annual Literary Awards Issue. This issue presents the best work submitted to the 43rd Nimrod Literary Awards; Mara was named a finalist for the Pablo Neruda Prize for her poems “field work/ Cass County Minnesota 1938”, “an episode in archaeology/ a scar”, and “Jump”.
